The homeowners hoped their new residence could resolve the drawbacks of their old house, which only featured one bedroom and suffered from poor natural lighting in the living room. Accordingly, they outlined several key design requirements prior to the renovation: a separate bedroom for their son, a master bedroom flooded with ample natural light, a well-ventilated and bright living room, and dedicated display space for their wine collection and decorative ornaments. To fulfil these requests, partition cabinets were cleverly deployed to zone the layout. The master bedroom was positioned beside the windows with the best light exposure, while the son’s bedroom was placed near the main entrance. This arrangement preserved both windows in the living room, allowing abundant natural light and ventilation to flow through the space. The TV unit incorporates glass display niches accented with recessed spotlights, turning the homeowners’ treasured collectibles into the focal point of the home. The kitchen is fitted with multiple compartmentalised storage units for assorted cookware to deliver highly efficient storage, with a designated built-in space for the refrigerator to streamline cooking workflows. Above the bathroom vanity runs a full-length mirrored cabinet paired with overhead wall cabinets, boosting storage capacity while visually expanding the space. The entire home adopts a soft off-white colour palette, creating a comfortable and highly functional new living space.
